The Rising is the student ministry (7th-12th Grade) at Northrich Baptist Church and is centered on Psalm 24:3-4, which says “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has cleans hands and a pure heart…” Jesus is rising up a generation of young people who aren’t satisfied with just “doing church”, but are interested in being the church and being who God has called them to be. Our goal at The Rising is to help students do just that!
At The Rising, we believe that students aren’t just the church of the future, but that they are the church today. We believe that church isn’t about rules and regulations, or just simply going through the motions, but about a relationship with Jesus. We believe that that anyone, regardless of age, can have a life changing encountering with the One True King!
The Rising has three weekly programs, along with various special events. Each program is designed to fulfill a key purpose of ministry:
The Rising Midweek Service: Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm
This is our weekly worship service. Students will connect with others, join in during a time of worship, and hear a powerful message that will challenge them to live for God in every area of their life!
Sunday School: Sundays 9:30-10:30am
This is our Bible study program. Each week, students will split up into groups and dig deep into the Word of God. As we work our way through Scripture, students will learn how to apply Biblical principles to their lives and construct a Christian worldview.
Rise Groups: Sundays 6:00-7:00pm
Rise Groups are our small groups at the Rising. Each Sunday evening, students will meet at various restaurants near Northrich for a time of fellowship and relationship building. Rise Groups meet during the Fall and Spring school semesters. For current meeting locations, please contact us with the information provided below.
