The Southern Baptist Convention – The term “Southern Baptist Convention” refers to both the denomination and its annual meeting. The Convention works through 1,200 local associations and 41 state conventions and fellowships. As Southern Baptists, we share a common bond of basic Biblical beliefs and a commitment to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world” (SBC website).
The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention – The mission statement of the SBTC is “to facilitate, extend, and enlarge the Great Commission ministries of the Southern Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist churches and associations in Texas” (SBTC website).
The North Texas Baptist Association – The purpose of this local association is “to assist churches in ministry, missions and leadership by providing Biblical solutions that will encourage accountability, responsibility, and New Testament fellowship for the Glory of God” (NTBA website).
